At this point, it’s no secret that all of our competitors in “Big Ag” have discontinued development on their BMRs. We’re excited to claim the exact opposite, as we continue to develop and build our revolutionary BMR products in ways geared to bring you staggering fiber digestibility, as well as starch digestibility far beyond anything else in its class.
Our tillering BMR forage corn (UBFC), with the BM-3 gene (more digestible than BM-1), provides the grower with a highly digestible silage or forage crop, with strong yields that can be enhanced by plant tillering, in as little as 60 days.
With yields that match industry-leading BMR hybrids, UnBranded Forage Corn (UBFC) offers a very high sugar content and high crude protein numbers. You can expect excellent NDFD-30 and TTNDFD numbers for incredible fiber digestibility. When looking at fresh, non-fermented samples, UBFC averaged NDFD-30 scores of 60.0 (compared to non-BMR hybrids at 57.7) and TTNDFD scores of 46.0 (compared to non-BMRs at 42.8). Incredibly, it isn’t just the fiber digestibility scores that impress. In the same testing, UBFC showed nearly identical starch digestbility as the non-BMR hybrids, with 7-hour starch scores averaging 66.4 (compared to 66.5 in the non-BMR hybrids).
